Summertime seems to have passed again in one swift wind. Summer 09 was a great transition into a new world, new sounds, new friends. Pool parties, Pabst beer, and barbeques will remain in my memory as fundamentals of an awesome season now gone. I hope y’all had fun.
Normally we don’t post a lot of top 40 stuff. But I am totally digging this smash by Chicago Native Jeremih. It’s great to see more Chicago/Midwest artists getting their shine on in the music industry, which is typically not dominated by our region. DC hip-hop artist WALE is currently on tour and will be performing with Toledo’s own GREAT LAKES CREW this week!
Rapper Wale is an up and coming artist who in the past couple of years has a made a splash on the mixtape and independent scene. After touring throughout Europe with Mark Ronson (DJ / producer of artists such as Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen), Wale was signed to Ronson’s Allido record label in 2007.
The Great Lakes Crew are bringing their one of a kind sounds and rhymes to the stage to open for Wale AT FRANKIE’S INNER CITY on WEDNESDAY @ 10PM! Doors open at 9 o’ clock.
